Canada pumps money into hydro scheme.
Energy Current, August 21, 2008 - “Canada’s Government has revealed its first of seven project investments through the ecoENERGY for Renewable Power program. The Honourable Gary Lunn, Minister of Natural Resources, today backed the Kwalsa low-impact hydro project near Harrison Lake, with US$35 million in funding. When it is complete, the Kwalsa Energy Project will have a total capacity of 90 MW from eight turbines operating on four waterways around Harrison Lake at Douglas, Fire, Stokke and Tipella Creeks.” Read more.
